If you have a wedding related business and would like to provide a further value-added service to your customers and earn some additional commission then you may want to consider becoming a Wedinsure Affiliate.
How do I become a Wedinsure Affiliate?
If you would like to become an affiliate, then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our affiliate managers will be in touch to discuss further.
Unless you are already authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), we may need to make you an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR). Don’t worry, it sounds more complicated than it is! If this is the case, we will simply send you a standard IAR agreement to complete and sign.
We will then supply you with a unique trackable URL that you can add to your website or send to customers via email or social media. This will allow us to track any sales that you introduce to us so we can then pay any commission due accordingly. In addition, we can also provide you with some printed Wedinsure leaflets and a unique affiliate code that you can then give to your customers directly. This would be particularly beneficial to wedding businesses and suppliers who meet regularly with the prospective wedding participants in person.
How much commission will I earn?
Our standard rate is 10% of the total premium generated by you after Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) has been deducted. However, depending upon the volume of sales you generate we may look to offer a higher commission. Alternatively, if your preference is to not earn commission but to offer this in the form of an exclusive discount to your customers instead then that can also be arranged.
How do I know how much commission is due?
Each month we will produce a report that shows all sales introduced by you through your unique tracking URL or affiliate code. This will show total premium, IPT tax deductions and then commission due. We are also in the process of building an online reporting gateway where you will have a unique and secure log-in to access to view your sales and commissions in real-time.
When and how will you pay my commission?
We will pay commission monthly in arrears. This is normally around the 15th day of the month. The minimum commission payment threshold is £25.00. Any commission amounts that fall below this threshold will be automatically rolled over to the following month. Payment is processed via BACS into a UK bank account.
Do I have to get involved in processing policies and payments?
No. In fact, you are not permitted to do any more than provide general information to customers. All processing of the insurance policies including payment and policy fulfilment will be administered directly by Wedinsure with the customer.
What marketing materials can you provide?
Once you are set up as an affiliate, we will make available to you a range of logo’s and images, which you can then integrate throughout your various marketing channels such as web, social media and email. If you need any specific types of images, then please let us know and we will try and accommodate you the best we can. In addition, we can also provide printed leaflets if required.
Can I leave the Affiliate Program at any time?
Yes, of course. If, for any reason, you no longer wish to be an Affiliate of Wedinsure then please just let us know. We will cancel your account immediately and we would simply ask that you remove any images and links from your website and any other marketing channels. We will then process any outstanding commission due within15 days of the end of the month during which you terminated your affiliate status. We also reserve the right to terminate your affiliate status at any time.
